The figure is shown seated on a lotus throne with the primary hands in namaskara mudra and the secondary hands holding a lotus stem and a bead of a mala, and wearing inlaid beaded jewelery, a goat pelt over the left shoulder beneath a long scarf that is draped around the shoulders, and a five-point crown, that is tied with ribbons, that partially obscures the interlooped topknot surmounted by the head of Buddha. A da Ming Jiajing ernianzhi mark is engraved in a line on the back of the base.
