The first of chestnut brown crocodile, the locks silvertone metal, with a handle to the front and silvertone metal lion plaque to the top, the interior lined in ochre pigskin leather, with chestnut velvet accents and fitted with several leather pouches, possibly for stationary, with protective cover; the second of copper brown crocodile, the locks goldtone metal, with large crocodile handle to the front, the interior lined in navy blue leather, with a buckled pouch to the lid, blouson pocket to the base and two leather boxes, with protective cover

The first with 'FINNIGANS, MAKERS, LONDON, MANCHESTER, LIVERPOOL, 18 NEW BOND ST.' stamped in gilt to the interior lid; the second with locks stamped 'RICHARD COLLEY, 107 QUEENS GATE S.W.7' (2)
