Tasting Note: Impressive cask sample in March 2001, impressive but not as exotic as the 1989 or 1990 at a similar stage. Two notes within two months of each other. Although deep, the most mature looking of the first-growth Mdocs; fully evolved, distinct, 'mocha', chocolaty, lovely but 'unclassic' Mouton nose; dry, very flavoury, touch of vanilla, crisp Cabernet Sauvignon taste, quite a bite. Last tasted Oct 2005 **(***) 2010 - 2025. M.B.

If you choose to take these lots in bond the hammer price will be payable in full. We will no longer deduct excise duty from the hammer price.
