One of the figures depicted can be identified as Zhu Geliang (181-234), the famous chancellor for Shu Han under the Three Kingdoms period (220-265). One of the attendants standing behind him holds a banner reading 'Han cheng xiang Wu Xiang Qiao', which is the title that Zhu Geliang held when he served the Han court. As one of the most well-known figures in Chinese history, Zhu Geliang is revered for his vision and intelligence as a statesman, who provided many brilliant military strategies that enabled the court to win numerous difficult battles.
