Each on a shaped oval base, on four paw and scroll feet, with acanthus and scroll handles, the border gadrooned, with beading above, the tureen supported on a rectangular stand with four winged lions at the canted corners, the tureen of baluster form, the foot gadrooned, the body partially fluted, with reeded handles with lion's-mask joins and acanthus and shell at the center, the stepped cover with conforming decoration, the finial matching the handles, marked under stands, on bodies, cover bezels, finials, beading, and under rosettes on covers below finials, also stamped RUNDELL BRIDGE ET RUNDELL AURIFICES REGIS LONDINI on cover bezels and under bases

A pair of Storr sauce tureens of the same model and year as the present examples sold, together with a matching soup tureen of 1807, from the collection of Lily and Edmond J. Safra, Sotheby's New York, 20 October 2011, lot 822. They were formerly in the Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos Collection, sold on behalf of the Republic of the Philippines through the Presidential Commission on Good Government, Christie's, New York, 10 January 1991, lot 52.
