Lady Elizabeth von Hofmannsthal was one of the Paget sisters, a Maid of Honour at George V's coronation in 1937, and like her aunt, Lady Diana Cooper, one of the most beautiful women in England in her day. A good friend of Cecil Beaton's, she was photographed by him for Vogue in September 1948, and she donated two of her evening dresses to the collection he founded at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
