The circular vessel is finely cast around the exterior with two bands of entwined archaistic kui dragons, all separated by a thin 'rope-twist' band. The flat cover is surmounted by a central loop handle and applied with three equidistant, open-work, L-shaped 'dragon' plaques. The sides are adorned with a U-shaped handle on either side and the vessel is supported on three cabriole feet.
