Wu Guandai, who was born in Wuxi, Zhejiang province, but lived most of his life in Beijing, was a traditional-style painter, poet, and calligrapher. Wu Guandai was especially inspired by the painting styles of Shitao, Xu Wei, and Yun Shouping. Chen Huan was a native of Nanjing and later moved to Shanghai. He excelled at seal and clerical scripts and was influenced by Zheng Xie.
