Monnaie constituée de la coquille sculptée en pointe d'une grande huitre perlière dont l'extrémité est ligaturée par de la fibre de noix de coco. Elle pouvait constituer une dot, être offerte lors de cérémonies ou pour se faire pardonner une faute. La finesse du tressage des cordelettes attestent du grand âge de cette monnaie.
