The padparadscha exhibits a subtle orange pink colour, characteristic for this variety of corundum, combined with a fine purity and an attractive shape and cutting style. Microscopic examination revealed few inclusions, which represent the hallmarks of the reputed classical source of padparadscha in Ceylon (Sri Lanka). The stone has been spared exposure to any treatment and its clarity and colour are all natural. A natural padparadscha from Ceylon of this quality is rare
