Apricot robes are reserved for close members of the Imperial family, such as heirs apparent and consorts. They often bear Imperial symbols. This robe does not, however, suggesting that it may have been made for a low ranking member of the Imperial household. It has been later lined.

The anomalous lining and poor quality buttons may mean that this robe was not made up in the Imperial workshops. The quality of the embroidery is however high enough to be Imperial.
