With Patek Philippe fitted presentation box and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised hour markers in gold and tachometer scale in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 11 September 1954.
This watch is an extremely well preserved and very attractive example of the famed reference 1463, distinguished and blessed by its incredibly charismatic dial featuring the much sought-after two-tone dial.
This rare find has evidently seldom been used and shows only light surface wear; the case is full and retains its original case proportions to the best extent, highlighted by the close to mint hallmarks. The unrestored dial shows subtle signs of natural ageing as one would expect on a wristwatch which, after almost 60 years, was exposed to the elements. The hard enamel signature and scales are beautifully raised, harmonizing with the applied gold numerals.
Very few examples have survived with such quality as the present reference 1463 and this watch will without any doubts interest any discerning collector.
