KANGXI PERIOD, DATED TO 1703 AND OF THE PERIOD
Written on silk brocade woven with a pattern of cranes in flight interspersed with ruyi-clouds and mounted as a handscroll, the text arranged in standard form reading from left to right in Manchu and repeated from right to left in Chinese characters, the Chinese text opening with a four-character seal script title in a vertical line, Fengtian Gaomin, 'By the Command of Heaven', flanked by a pair of dragons, followed by a long text and ending with the date 42th year of Kangxi, corresponding to 1703, stamped with two large seal impressions, continuing with its Manchu transliteration
