The mottled pinkish-grey and white marble top inset within a tapering rectangular frame, above the waist with openwork apertures, below a band of lotus petal lappets and elaborately carved apron with large lotus flowers and trailing leafy stalks, continuing to sinuous carved spandrels with further leafy lotus blooms, the square-section legs terminating in claw and ball feet
