This example, carved from a solid block of boxwood, was intricately carved to function as a flask and box. Edward Pinto attributes a fine example of similar form with exceptional carving to Nancy. See Edward Pinto, Treen and other Wooden Bygones, London, 1968, p. 346, pl. 360.
