THE BLADE POSSIBLY LATE 15TH CENTURY ITALIAN
With broad tapering double-edged fullered blade, brass hilt with short arched quillons, walrus ivory grip-scales and panels, the former with two pierced brass filigree roundels on each side, and rounded pommel, the pommel and quillon-block each with incised foliate decoration (some minor corrosion marking to the blade, walrus ivory with some staining, some rubbing to the brass parts of the hilt)
