SHENDETANG ZHI HALL MARK IN IRON RED, DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850)
The ovoid body finely painted on one side with a flowering, budding and fruit-laden pomegranate tree growing amidst pink-flowered hollyhocks, with a lantern suspended from one of the branches which extend around the sides towards a smaller pomegranate tree and another hollyhock, all between ruyi borders, the tall, waisted neck painted with flower sprays borne on conjoined leafy tendrils suspending two further lanterns and reserved on a ruby ground below a yellow ruyi border on the underside of the flared rim, the interior of the neck and the base covered in turquoise enamel
