The works are playful as they reflect ourselves. We love making things in unusual forms. Aesthetics and semiotics are carefully juxtaposed, and they leave you with many thoughts. It is a constant rush of ideas and a never-ending process. (in conversation with the artists)

Collaborative artists Jiten Thukral and Sumir Tagra meld ideas of Photorealism and Surrealism to create virtual reality on their canvases. Homo Sapiens 2 is a classic example of this as upon closer inspection it reveals elements and odd details that could never exist in reality. Symmetry gives way to chaos as a once ordered composition dissolves into a swarming beehive. The central focus of these gathering motifs mirrors the artists themselves. The partial self-portrait is integral to the piece as it simultaneously draws attention to their presence whilst deliberately masking their identities. Playfully proposing themselves as the perfect examples of Man (the Homo Sapien), their selective use of color makes this more apparent as the gilded frame holds this self-portrait in a floating black and white setting.
