Munie d'une longue pique effilée de section losangique, la base frappée d'une petite marque, fer de hache en croissant et croc incurvé portant tous deux des perforations circulaires, douille ouverte, quatre attelles dont deux forgées séparément, hampe en bois d'origine estampée de deux marques d'arsenal en forme de bouclier.

With long slender spike of stiff diamond section struck with a small mark at the base, crescentic axe-blade and downcurved fluke each pierced with circular holes, open socket, four side-straps, two made separately, and original wooden shaft stamped with two shield-shaped arsenal marks.
