The present composition can be compared to the signed and dated The Banquet of the Gods by Stalbemt in the Gemälde Galerie, Dresden of 1622 (no. 940).

Sold with a certificate from Dr. Klaus Ertz, dated May 1990, proposing an attribution to Stalbemt and Jan Brueghel the Younger.
