QIANLONG UNDERGLAZE-BLUE SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN A HORIZONTAL LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95)
The lower section with a central quatrefoil cartouche enclosing an idyllic landscape with a pagoda, pavilion and mountains by a river, the top smaller section with a similarly shaped cartouche with a long poetic inscription and two seal marks, all reserved on a yellow-ground enamelled with scrolling tendrils bearing delicate blooms, applied on either side with coral-glazed kui-dragon handles, the black-glazed integral stand decorated with gilt scrolls

The poem reads:
Tian mo jian bian zhou
Qing ke lai qian pu
Ta yuan wan zhong sheng
Ke chuan yi ye yu

Which may be translated as :
A boat comes into sight at the edge of the sky
It reaches the shore in a short moment's time
At night time the tower bells chime
The rain falls on the boat throughout the night
