On circular moulded raised base repoussé and chased with raised bands of foliate scrolls and fruit, the knopped stem with applied festoons, the cup decorated with naturalistic flowers between strapwork, the spreading upper part applied with four masks, the domed moulded cover similarly decorated and with finial shaped as a silver-gilt model of the devil, with gilt copper liner, marked on base and cover
