The tile with white ground painted in cobalt-blue, turquoise and black with a large central arabesque outlined in black and reserved against blue cross-hatched ground, a simple turquoise border around the edges, repaired breaks, small areas of restoration

This tile relates to one discussed by John Carswell, which is in the Cairo museum. The fleshy cusped arabesque formed concentrically around an ovoid centre on hatched ground is very similar to ours (John Carswell, op.cit., p.120, pl.II, no.C30).
