With octagonal sighted barrel with 'SAML. COLT' script signature and retaining traces of original blued finish, cylinder with stage coach scene, frame engraved 'COLTS PATENT', brass grip-strap and trigger-guard, the latter retaining some original silvered finish, one-piece ivory grips, and matching numbers throughout with the exception of the replacement loading-lever, the principle numbers with a dot, the barrel, frame, hammer, grip-strap and trigger-guard decorated with Hartford scroll engraving
