Montrant très tôt des dispositions pour le chant et la danse, elle suit une formation à l'Ecole du spectacle de Paris. Très vite, elle commence une carrière de chanteuse, se produisant dans des music halls et théâtres en Europe. Pendant la guerre, elle repart aux Etats-Unis et s'engage dans le théâtre aux armées américaines (USO) grâce auquel elle parcourt l'Europe entière. Après la guerre, sa carrière prend un véritable essor international, elle voyage partout dans le monde, joue et danse dans de nombreuses opérettes, comédies musicales et films. En 1954, elle créé avec succès la revue "Can Can" au Coliseum de Londres. Irène Hilda, a multi-talented French-American artist, was born in 1920 in Richmond, Virginia, USA. From an early age, she had a natural talent for singing and dancing and attended the Ecole des spectacles in Paris. She began her career in Europe as a singer in music halls and theatres. During World War II, she returned to America and enrolled in the United Service Organizations which toured all around Europe. After the war, she began an international career performing on stage in many operettas and shows. She also played in numerous movies and in 1954, she enjoyed a great success in Cole Porter's "Can Can" at the London Coliseum.
