There are strong stylistic links between this wardrobe and the one designed by Charles Bevan and made by Marsh and Jones, Leeds, which was commissioned in 1866 by the mill owner Titus Salt Jnr, for his house at Baildon, Yorkshire, most notably the engraved strap-hinges and the inlaid disy design.
