The connoisseur collector Thomas Hope included similar torcheres in several of the rooms he illustrated in the guide to his mansion museum at Duchess Street, including the 'Lararium', plate X. It was published in 1807 as Household Furniture and Interior Decoration. The Chiurazzi family of bronze founders listed a torchere of related design in their catalogue published circa 1900, under no. 165. Replicas of related candelabra from Pompeii and Herculaneum are illustrated in the 1910 catalogue of the Naples Fonderie Artistiche, J. Chiurazzi & Fils-S. De Angelis & Fils, who exhibited at major International Exhibitions around 1900.
