With F.P. Journe Certificate of Authenticity and Warranty card dated May 2000, three-tier veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

According to the Archives of F.P. Journe, the present watch was manufactured in 1999.

The first series of F.P. Journe's production, such as the watch offered here for sale, featured a different dial finish, rendering the white gold a more gilt-coloured hue. They were furthermore fitted with the rhodium-plated brass movement as opposed to the pink gold version of later models.

Examples from the very first generation are today much sought-after collector's watches.

The Tourbillon Souverain, another of F.P. Journe's horologic masterworks, is distinguished by its complications, combing a one minute tourbillon with a remontoir. The remontoir provides a constant force to the balance, hence maintaining an equal rate of force whether the watch is fully wound or not and increasing the precision.
