Porcelain lyre-form clocks were first produced at the Sèvres Manufactory in 1785. Made in turquoise, green, pink and bleu nouveau, the latter was the most popular ground color. Eighteenth century examples are in the collection of Queen Elizabeth II and the Louvre Museum (formerly at Versailles).
