拍品专文

Compare with a large painting on paper illustrated by J. Wirgin (Fran Kina till Europa, p. 300), where he notes the fascination Chinese artists had for trompe l'oeil perspective architectural renderings in this period, having just learned the vanishing point technique from Jesuit artists at the court in Beijing.
