According to the consignor, this table was discovered in Nova Scotia nearly two decades ago. Sold to the purchaser as an English table, this piece clearly relates to cabinetwork made in the Boston-Salem area. Queen Anne turret-top card tables with pad feet are extremely rare. With its gracefully executed turrets, ogee shaped front apron and elongated cabriole legs, this piece is an elegant example of restrained design.
