AN ENGLISH DELFT POSSET-POT AND COVER
CIRCA 1685-90, POSSIBLY BRISTOL OR BRISLINGTON, BLUE 2 TO BOTH COVER AND POT
Of waisted form, the stepped domed cover with an inverted acorn-shaped finial surmounted by a bird, the cover and pot flanked by double scroll handles entwined with hissing snakes, the spout with a S-scroll support and snake, painted overall with birds and insects among flowers, the rim with a lappet band
