Baluster form, on circular foot with relief decoration, the sides embossed with swirling flutes centering two chased cartouches, each showing Chinese figures in landscapes, the hinged cover with removable coffee plant finial, the cover with removable hinge pin, with wood handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms beneath spout, marked under base and on cover bezel

The arms are those of Buckle with those of Dickins in pretence, for Lewis Buckle (b. 1713) who married Eleanor Dickins (d. 1811) of Liverpool in 1757. Lewis Buckle was the second son of Christopher Buckle Esq., builder of Nork House, Banstead, Surrey.
