The encrier, of urn shape, the acanthus-wrapped spreading circular lid with pinecone finial, above a tapering body decorated with foliate trails and ribbon-tied laurel-swags, enclosing three inkwells, above a spirally-cast spreading socle and beaded square base; the presse-papier of rectangular shape, decorated overall with cabochons and foliage, with foliate-cast pinched finial, with spurious 'C couronné'
The encrier: 7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) high; 5½ in. (14 cm.) diameter; the presse-papier: 2¾ in. (7 cm.) high; 6¼ in. (16 cm.) wide; 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) deep (2)
