Marked K. Fabergé with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1896-1908
Comprising a bratina, eight charki, a ladle, and a tray; the bratina and charki each of tapering cylindrical form, the upper section with continuous band of varicolor shaded enamel scrolling foliage on a gilt stippled ground and set with cabochon garnets at intervals, between twisted ropework borders, with gadrooned lower section, on a raised circular foot with conforming decoration; the circular tray with shaped molded rim, with supports for the eight charki alternating with panels of varicolor shaded enamel scrolling foliage set with enameled simulated hardstone cabochons, centering a well for the bowl within a twisted ropework border; the ladle with elongated hook handle and kovsh-shaped bowl, with conforming decoration; in a fitted wood case, fully marked; the tray dated 1895 and with scratched inventory number 13664
The bratina 7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) high, the charki 3 5/8 in. (9.5 cm.) high; the tray 19½ in. (49.5 cm.) diam. (11)
