The original, signed and dated 1498, on panel, 52 x 42 cm, is in the Uffizi, Florence (Gli Uffizi, Catalogo Generale, 1980, p.863, no. A318, with ill.). It entered the Uffizi in 1682 with the collection of Cardinal Leopold de' Medici.
