Comprising one highback armchair, one chair, a sofa and a pair of armchairs, each with padded back, arms and seat covered in brown leather, the back surmounted by the crowned coat of arms of the Württenberg family, flanked by pierced foliage, the sofa with arms flanked by a deer and a lion, inscribed Furchtlos und Treu, with rectangular paper label to the underside inscribed Württ. This coat of arms was introduced by king Wilhelm I. in 1817, its decoration was limited to the antlers of Wuerttemberg and the lions of Staufen. A further three fauteuils, four side chairs and a small settee from this set was recently sold at Dorotheum Wien, 26 September 2008, lot 65.
