The waisted case with glazed side panels surmounted by the figure of Fame, inlaid in contre-partie overall and decorated with ormolu foliate C-scrolls, cherub masks and dragons, figural door mount emblematic for Love and Fidelity, foliate cast dial inset with enamel cartouches, blued steel hands, signature cartouche PALIARD.A.BESANÇON below 30, paper inventory label to the underside of the case inscribed W.WZ, the eight-day triple barrel movement with rectangular plates joined by backpinned pillars, verge escapement, silk suspension with cycloidal cheeks, countwheel strike for quarters and hours on three bells above, the backplate stamped twice with a crowned R, the wall bracket with conforming mounts and marquetry with etched monogram F.F to the front; pendulum; winding key; door key
