The tapering sides descending to a ribbed border around the base, engraved to front with armorial within a ribbon-tied wreath, the handle prick-dot engraved with the date 1666 above the initials HG all below a scroll motif, the bifurcated chair-back thumbpiece pierced with a heart motif
