A PAIR OF JADEITE MILEFO
Each designed as a well-carved jadeite laughing Buddha carrying peaches of semi-translucent material, the larger one of celadon ground suffused with intense green streaks, pale lavender and honey yellow patches, and the smaller one of intense lavender colour, representing the rebus 'always laughing' ( ), both to the wooden stands, carvings approximately 118.20 x 74.57 x 50.24 and 81.37 x 52.63 x 28 mm
With certificate KJ37957 and KJ37960 dated 2 September 2008 from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory stating that the carvings are natural jadeite and no polymer is detected (2)
