Inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe's platinum prints on linen, Horst produced a series of iconic images on canvas, in unnumbered editions of five.

Horst recalled: 'One day I wanted to make some nude photographs, which I had never done before. [Lisa] had a very beautiful body, and was not afraid of her body -- she was used to Nacktkultur.'
