SHANG EARLY WESTERN ZHOU, CIRCA 1100 BC
Each of arc-shape cut from a thin jade plaque, incised on both sides with single and double groove lines to depict a stylised crouching dragon with its foreleg gathered under its head, the first a fragment of a larger piece, drilled with two holes, the stone of even pale green tone with minor inclusions; the second made as a tool with a flat tail as the cutting edge, drilled with two holes, the stone of greyish-green tone with heavy alteration; the last with a curled tail and drilled with three holes, the stone of brownish-yellow tone with darker inclusions
