Countess Marie Zichy Ferraris, called 'Molly', was the only daughter of Count Joseph Ferraris and his wife Henrietta née Marquise d'Ursel. In 1799, she married Count Franz Zichy of Vasanykeö (1777-1839). The youngest of their three daughters, Melanie, became the third wife of the famous Chancellor Prince Metternich. During the Congress of Vienna 1814/1815, Molly played an important role as a society hostess, and Tsar Alexander I of Russia who adored her, stayed at her home in 1818.
