The first with curved blade etched with the date '1799' and the inscriptions 'Reward of Merit' and 'Presented to Sergt Broodbank by...Compy YLV', silver stirrup hilt, ivory grip (chipped), and original scabbard (hallmarks indistinct); the second with etched blade, spadroon hilt, fluted ivory grip, and signed silver scabbard locket (hallmarks indistinct); a 1796 pattern infantry officer's sword, with etched blade, in its original scabbard; and seven other edged weapons.
