Tasting Note: A really lovely wine. Opaque; rich Pauillac character; full of all the good things. I bought a few cases and am still drinking it. Many notes, not all at home. I shipped some to Lyford Cay in the Bahamas and it opened my tasting in 1995. Deep, lovely colour, masses of fruit and extract. Normally a low developer, the '89 exudes good health and drinkability. The very evening I wrote this note (and for this note, I decanted a bottle): beautiful to look at, sweet bouquet and flavour. Perfect with Daphne's roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.
