Lying in Weybridge, Surrey (EHD)
Château Pichon-Longueville, Baron--Vintage 1961
Pauillac, 2me cru classé
Corroded capsules. Very bin-soiled labels, one slightly damaged. Levels: one into neck, three base of neck, seven top and one upper-shoulder
Tasting Note: My earliest notes, from mid-1960's to mid-1970's, all English bottled, were good...Most recently impressively deep, its nose a pleasant surprise: fruit, vanilla, a fragrant jamminess matched by its flavour. Overall, lean, spicy, with good grip, but not too tannic. **** M.B.
