"The nose is rather reserved and almost austere with noticeable secondary aromas present. There is good richness to the robust and still firmly structured yet surprisingly light flavors and not quite enough sève to adequately buffer the tannins. Optimists will continue to hold this and hope the wine balances out with time. I would choose to open this over the next decade with appropriate food as it will assist in rounding off what are at present somewhat astringent tannins." BH, Oct 1, 2005
