each of rectangular shape with rounded shoulders rising to the short rim, surmounted by a pierced cover, flanked by hinged upright loop handles, the larger decorated with repousse panels enclosing the Eight Immortals and their attributes, below the shoulder incised with lotus blossoms alternating with bats; the smaller with four panels enclosing scholars and attendants engaged in leisurely pursuits, with each corner bearing a poetic inscription, the cover with two dragons pursuing the flaming pearl -- the larger 8 5/16in.
