The distinct rounded-section hoop, bentwood arm-fronts and splayed legs point to a Yorkshire attribution (see Adam Bowett Windsor chairs from The Vale of York Regional Furniture Vol xviii 2004). However, the circular seat is unusual and an American flavour is evident.
