Décorés en émaux de la Famille rose sur fond turquoise, la partie supérieure de la panse et le dessus du couvercle à décor d'oiseau jaune perché sur le tronc d'une vigne vierge de laquelle pendent des grappes de raisins, des pivoines plantées tout autour, la partie inférieure du tabouret et les côtés du couvercle rehaussés de petits clous en relief et de volutes de fruits et fleurs, marque à six caractères de l'Empereur Guangxu en rouge sur couverte à la base

This special composition with yellow bird perched on a wisteria vines is identical to the Dayazhai wares from the same period.
They were made for the Empress Cixi (1835-1908) who especially appreciated the wisteria blossoms, associated with spring.
